Hi does anyone have a teen who longer wants to do ANYTHING with you. My dd 14 no longer wants to do anything with me not even a dog walk. I'm trying to plan a couple of family days out and she is completely refusing to come no matter what activity is suggested but then she moans that she's bored if we're doing nothing. I have a younger dc age 10 so younger still enjoys outings. I see friends and other families with dc her age still going along and taking part so it upsets me that my dd doesn't want to.
I feel I'm loosing her. iv asked her why she no longer wants to come along but she just says she doesn't want to. anyone else with a similar teen?

So I have a 13 and 11 year old- my eldest doesn't want to do anything with me- if she thinks it's pressure or any expectation- I have figured out.

So I just let her do her own thing and she will gravitate towards me; I also Neale the most of being mum the taxi and let her in charge of music and she chats away

We go shopping together too, just take all pressure off and they flourish

What sort of activities do you suggest?

recently teen dds nearly 18 and 14 have done a few bits with me.

theatre with them both.

shopping and coffee with dd1.

halloween scare fest thing with dd2

escape room with them both.

we don’t do as much together as we did when they were younger. They don’t really want to go to national trust houses or for country walks anymore. Though dd2 still enjoys a beach trip. would your dd not even want to go with you to a theme park? Or shopping where she gets to pick out some bits? Perhaps a theatre trip? I find the trips definitely need to be more enticing now they’re older. Though they will occasionally still want to come food shopping 😂. What sort of things does your dd enjoy OP?
