Mental health crisis

I rang the GP at 8:15 this morning. No appointments until next Friday. A GP has just called me and said they can't do anything to help DS.(16)
DS is having mental health problems. He walked out of college induction on Tuesday and rang me to say he was having a panic attack.
Last night, his friends came to our house to bring me his phone and bag. He dropped them and ran off. I went out and found him. He ran off but then did stop and let me approach. He wouldn't talk to me and had his face covered. Staring eyes and slumped body.
This morning we had a tutor meeting. He would not speak to the tutor and was slumped again with no eye contact.
He's lost a lot of weight since the start of summer and is dysregulated. He's got special needs and I'm just appalled they would not see him in person at the surgery

My dd is the same. We’ve got an appointment next week, after l phoned on Tuesday.

Realustically there’s not much a gp can do unfortunately. They won’t refer to CAHMS unless it’s life or death. We hoping for more frequent counselling.

Poor lad. Contact your local MIND, they have been given funding to provide some care that NHS are not providing (practice manager told me that). Also could contact your GP’s practice manager and complain that you’ve been told no help available.
