Hi could anyone help me please. I am trying to book driving tests for my 2 daughters but there arnt any available to book due to a backlog from Covid and lack of examiners. I have been told about apps that do a search for cancellations automatically and book the test for you Has anyone used these apps ? I'm a bit unsure as the fee is 18 pounds each I don't want to waste the money if it's no good. I have been logging on to the government booking system every day but it's becoming quiet tedious !!!! Thanks

My DS used one last year, it was around £18, unfortunately I don't recall the name of it. But it was brilliant and well worth the money. He did have a test booked for January, and this was August. He ended up with one at the beginning of September. It would update with a new one every day or so for him. We also live in a rural area where tests were only 2 days a week, with one instructor, so not loads of opportunities for one to become available like in bigger test centres.

Driving test now. I had to book any test available so ended up with one in Hull, then you get the app and select up to three test centres you actually want and a selection of dates you actually want and it will automatically book it for you if a cancellation comes up.

For reference I had to book Hull because it was the only one I could fine. I live in the south east. I got a cancellation within two weeks of downloading the app. Test next month Shock

Another recommendation for the Driving Test Now app. My dd1 failed her first driving test in August and managed to get a driving test cancellation auto booked through the app a fortnight later and passed second time last week. She originally had to book her second test in January, so well worth the money. Good luck to your daughters!
