Granddaughter worry

My 11 year old granddaughter started puberty last year and flatly refuses to wear deodorant she gets really smelly. She is starting senior school in September and it's worrying anyone encountered this and got any advice?

Her schoolmates will let her know pretty quick.

Make sure she knows it'll impact her social life and then leave her to it.

Not a nice way to start using deodorant, but sometimes if we refuse to listen to the easy lessons, we have to learn the hard way.

Why does she refuse? Maybe offer her alternatives like a natural deodorant or body spray

Thank you for your reply. No idea why she refuses so sad her Mum has bought her four different deodorants hopefully she'll start using them before she goes back to school.

Denial and immaturity ? She’s only 11 . Hopefully she’ll come round when her friends start using them.
