Hello,

I am not a parent but I am looking after my 17 year old brother as my Mother is gone away.
Problem is he invited his girlfriend to sleep over here without my consent.
I spoke to my mother about it before she went and she told me he was not to have anyone over. I have contacted her over the phone but it is not easy for her to sort it out as she is on another time zone (4 hours behind).
My brother is currently gone out somewhere with his gf and I don't know when he will be back but I do know she plans to stay as I see a clothes bag in the spare room(where I brother has make his own, while he left his own room in a mess.

I am not comfortable with her staying at all as my Mother is away and she always makes sure they sleep in separate rooms whenever brothers gf sleeps over.

I have not spoke with my brother at all today as he was in bed with his gf until they went out. As you can imagine he will not listen to me at all so how could I sort this out without seeming to rude to his girlfriend.

Thank you,

Kind regards,
Belle

This shouldn't have to be your problem, and you certainly can't deal with it like a substitute mother. You can either leave them to it, or be an annoyance (I mean deliberately, I don't mean that rudely), keep asking if they want tea, talk loudly about contraception, pretend you've got your mum on the other end of the phone and pass on 'messages'. But don't ruin your own time, this isn't your fault.
