DS just turned 16. He finished exams a couple of weeks ago and has been in the local park every day. His attitude has changed suddenly.
Yesterday evening, he ignored all calls. I rang him on WhatsApp and could hear everything but he didn't realize the call was connected.
I could hear him goading, threatening and name calling other teenagers and his language was awful. I ended up fetching him back from a rough estate at 9:30 p.m. he was with two 18 year olds who he knows from the park bike track. When I arrived, I ordered a taxi and was stood with them. I explained why I'd had to come to fetch him and he started shouting at me to f off. Earlier in the day he had called me something foul in a text message. When we got home, he tried pestering his dad for a bike and I heard him saying f off to him. His dad is very poorly with blood clots and a pulmonary embolism.
He has ADHD and zero empathy. We've trialled many types of meds and nothing works (also aggressive side effects).
If this gets worse will social services be able to support now he's 16? (he's adopted)
