My lovely, smart well spoken little teenage darling.....is a walking meme and it's doing my head in 🤣
Any and all conversations are now held in some strange YouTube/Fortnite/roblox language....'yesss yaaaaasss exactly, ahhhh'
Every conversation has some specific meme reference to go along with it at five times the volume required followed by fits of laughter about completely non funny things.
I am becoming my father and I resent it. She is the eldest at 13 the others are 12/5&4
Now they all do it, I'm surrounded by a small army I made myself busting out tiktoc dances and shouting 'omg weeeeeeee'
I took her and three of her friends bowling and it was only for two hours after which I required a stiff drink and a lie down 🤦🏻‍♀️
What's worse I think is I do have a big social media presence and I stream online games aswell, so even my escape of gaming is now filled with hearing these memes on repeat from all angles.
If anyone needs me I'll be hiding in the kitchen listening to Nirvana and wishing I still had a side fringe to sweep dramatically whilst I eye rolled...

At home, when none of their friends over, then can speak like this freely in their bedrooms and to their siblings but NOT ever at the dinner table and never to me or in any conversation I am involved with

sometimes they slip up but overall - it works

My 12 year old starts every conversation with 'On tiktok...' 💆

This is my thread I just logged into a prehistoric account somehow 🤣
It's lighthearted as stated, she's still capable of a well versed conversation I'm just venting haha
