Getting ADHD assessment Privately - advice?

My DD has suspected ADHD and it looks like we are going to have to get this privately as the wait list is 2-yrs. It’s too long and worried about self harm and hyper anxiety if we wait.

Any advice on where to start with getting a private assessment that it recognised by GP and school?

Where are you based? I only ask because my child's school recommended a place in SW and it's the same doctor that also works for the NHS, so would definitely be recognised by the NHS. You could always ask your child's school if they have any recommendations

I'm not sure if adult services are different, but my DH self referred to PsychiatryUK and had an assessment and diagnosis within five months. Going through his GP would have taken 4 years.

PsychiatryUK has an NHS contract so we didn't have to pay - I forgot to add.

We used ADHD 360

I'm trying to set dyslexia assessment for Dts at the moment, privately as school don't give a shit another story, we're looking at December and having to travel even though we live in London.

Get onto google and fire off as many enquiries as you can. The school SENCO should be able to advise.
