My teenager loves cheese TOO much

Hi everybody,

Slightly panicked, to be hoest. My dearest teen, (16) has always loved cheese. Like a lot. When we had garlic bread as a child he would always insist I melt some cheese for him. But now I buy whole packs of cheese, cheddar, goat's, parmezan, you name it, and he'll just eat it all within 2 minutes or so. I literally bought 5 200g packs for a pasta bake, and I walked into the kitchen and he was scoffing his face. I asked him why, and he insists it's what the cool kids do. Should I change school? I want some cheese as well you knnow!!!!

Thanks for your support,

Mrs Crock

I hate to break it to you but your son is a cheese addict....

The pushers at school probably lured him in with a babybel (gateway drug), next thing you know he'll be mainlining the Roquefort.

Crock o' shit?

MakkaPakkas · 25/05/2022 23:13

You should never have given him that first babybel as a child.

Undertheoldlindentree · 25/05/2022 23:17

You bought 5 x 200g packs for one pasta bake? Have you considered where he got this addiction? Or are you the family from 'umpteen kids and counting'?

lisavanderpumpscloset · 25/05/2022 23:28

Stop buying so much cheese? Or be thankful he's eating cheese and not doing the harder stuff

JaneJeffer · 25/05/2022 23:37

He's a cracker head

ElenaSt · 25/05/2022 23:40

Does he misbehave or is he a Gouda boy?

My son’s first word was cheese

LaMarschallin · 27/05/2022 06:58

Despite the fact that this must grate on you, imagine how much worse it would be if he craved drugs too.
I guess you'd know if he did from how he looked; he'd have a meth and feta mien.

Schmz · 27/05/2022 14:35

When I was about 16 I had a passion for cheese. We were only laughing about it the other day. I worked in an office that gave you luncheon vouchers (yes I am very old). The cafe nearby served cheese vol-a-vons(can’t remember how to spell it)chips and peas. I had it every day with the odd exception when spam fritters, chips and peas were selected. In the summer I used to walk quite a distance to work and while I did that I nibbled cheese. I didn’t put on weight, my cholesterol has never been a problem and eventually my tastes changed to a normal range of choices. He is eating cheese not doing drugs so I expect he will manage to live to a ripe old age and laugh about it later on. Can you entice him with curries, pizzas etc? Ps I only eat a small portion of cheese nowadays but love a glass of wine. Try not to worry. When this phase goes over there will be something else. Just look forward to when the years whizz by and he will be worrying about you.
