Where do your teen girls buy clothes? (Not online)

DD16 and I are going for lunch in Marylebone tomorrow and I’ve said I’ll take her clothes shopping afterwards. Just wondered where your girls like to shop?

Is Anthropologie for middle aged women?

Am prepared to brave Oxford Street if necessary.

DD usually looks in every shop then ends up in H&M, New Look and occasionally Primark every time 🤣

As above primark and H&M. Also new look but kids section is tiny in our local one. Dd1 can wear kids or the 2xs adults in primark now so loads of choice. Dd2 likes river island also but it's a bit blingy for Dd1

DD's shop in primark, new look, river island, any remaining dept stores (we only have John Lewis), H&M. But if you are in London I would head to Camden market for quirky options, they both loved it at your DD's age.

(The other shops they liked at 26 I think are gone eg top shop, miss selfridge)

Brandy Melville is definitely a good treat if you'll be in London anyway. There's one in Covent Garden, patronised almost exclusively by teen girls and their rather bored looking mums.

Urban Outfitters deffo the shop of choice for teen girls these days. Monki is good too. There’s one on Carnaby Street. There’s also a Brandy Melville just off Carnaby but be forewarned it is one size fits all. Okay if a size 6 but otherwise there’s no hope.

I shop in Anthropologie but DD 16 wouldn’t.

Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters have the same parent company so take her to UO now and you’ll be training her up for Anthropologie later. I think Brandy Melville have some lovely things but DD is 5ft 9 so sticks to tops.
