When should boys shave?

My son is 15 - he has got hair growing everywhere!

On his face is the really wispy stuff (hardly noticeable)

I said to him does he want to shave it - and he said hes not bothered....

So..... do i buy him a razor? Electric or manual? or wait until he says he wants to shave? Then will it be electric or manual???

My question is to any parents out there with teenage sons... when did they start shaving? Did you tell them they should? Or they asked off their own back?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

F as I have a 14 year old with a slight tache...

My 14 year old also had a slight tache... he shaved it off before Christmas and it hasn't returned yet

We got ds an electric one that he uses. He's 15

My son grew a tache at 12, then a bushy beard at 14 to my surprise. He has strong dark brown facial hair. He shaved it off a couple of times but seems to like it. It suits him. His best friend has similar but blond & whispy. I put a basic shave kit in the bathroom, got an (other) adult to chat him through the basics and left it up to him.

You've asked him and he said he isn't bothered.
Why not just let him know that when he's ready just to let you know what he'd like you to get him so that he can.

DS(14) asked me to take him for a shaving kit a few week back, so far he's not bothered about using it but at least he has it for when he is ready

When my lad was 15 he asked for a razor and everything, not a problem we got him everything, then he asked for more blades and i noticed he still hadn't shaved and he laughed and said he wasn't shaving his face.
