I'm a mum of 3 and have 2 stepkids. My oldest is 21 and away at uni...my stepson only comes every other weekend. The three I have at home at 18, 13 and 12...my god are they bloody messy!!

Each of them leave their shit at their asses...for example...someone spilled beetroot in the fridge...just left it...didn't even say...beet juice everywhere.

I can never find a clean towel because none of them, except the 12 year old, can move the dirty towels from their floor to a wash basket.

The 18 year old will say she's going out for lunch.. fair enough....then announces hours later, with 10 minutes notice, she needs a lift to the train station. No asking, just presuming!!

I'll qualify this with they are great kids in general. The younger 2 do have chores etc that they do (with some coaxing of course). They all work hard in school, no discipline problem etc. It's just frustrating...when I speak to them it's in one ear out another.

Not sure why I'm posting...just venting I think.

My 21yr old was the exact same and is a fantastic young woman, very responsible, so I know its not unusual and they'll be ok....its just infuriating

Tell me about it. I've been I'll for a week abs there are no clean towels. Went into Teen DD's room today abs there is an actual mound of damp towels on the floor. She'll probably have a full on strop later when she wants a bath...
