... with their boyfriends / girlfriends?

My DD (15) is constantly wanting to go out on proper dates with her bf - bowling, cinema, skating etc. It costs a fortune ( she pays out of pocket money, birthday money etc).
She says she gets bored if they just stay in all day and watch tv!
I’ve tried suggesting going for a walk, bike ride etc but apparently this is lame!
What do your teens and their other halves do when they are together?

At that age mine were mostly doing things to do with their hobbies - so camps and activities with Scouts....drama....football etc and the activities, fundraising etc around that.
Then leaves them a lot less time in which to be bored.

I've skating, bowling, climbing, swimming, cinema BMX track (free), tennis. Over half term Snowdome does a swim, climb and ice skate £20. They do first activity shoots and flume swim then 2 hours later a climb, then 1 hour to grab some lunch then a 2 hour ice skate, rounded off with a hot chocolate or and watching the snow boarders while drinking in it. I drop at 9.30 and pick up at 4pm. Very good value for money.

Much the same as yours but they also do some cooking - made pizza at hers a few weeks ago and at ours today cooked a Sunday roast for all of us - it was bloody lovely & they seemed to have fun and left the most ridiculous mess. They've also been to the driving range (ds plays golf, his gf doesn't but seems happy going for for an hour or so) and been on the train down to the coast for the day.

Mine go ice skating , bowling , cooking , watching movies , cinema , but mostly just walking holding hands and talking . Though Dd told me he is teaching her to climb a tree and jump down 🤭😆

Dd1 17 does her hobby most nights. Usually sees her boyfriend at the weekend. They watch telly, game, go for a walk in local country parks, cinema, go out for dinner, go to town etc. they both work part time and can finance their own activities.

Dd2 nearly 14 does activities most nights. When she sees her friends/ boyfriend they usually hang out at someone’s house or hang around in a park, sometimes go to twin or the cinema. They don’t have part time jobs so a lot less cash to splash.

Thanks - I will share some of these ideas with her. I do tell her that just hanging out at home should be good enough.
