Sleepovers

My Dd is 14 /4 months and in a 2 month relationship with a boy same age at school . The bf has a wide mixed group of friends at school but my Dd has just started hanging around with because of him . I haven't met them although I did tell my Dd she could bring them home but she doesn't want to .
Last night the bf came over and was then invited by one of his female friends to a sleepover at her house with others at 9.30 . He said he was with his gf / my Dd and they invited her too but my husband said no as he doesn't know them and it was boys and girls , girlfriends and their bf . About 8 of them . I was out .
Would you have let your Dd go . She feels we are being too strict by saying no !

No I definitely would not have done. She’s been with the BF 8 weeks, you don’t know tjwhat friend group (which at this stage add his not hers) and she is 14. I am with your DH on this.

8 of them, if I knew parents were definitely there and supervising - yes I would let her go.
My daughter is a year older, in a 6 month relationship, and is asking for him to stay over. We are not comfortable with this (even with them sleeping in different parts of the house) and have said no. We feel she is too young. Of course, we are being told everyone else's parents let their child....

The problem I would have is what supervision by parents there actually means - teens up all night, no way parents supervising are up all night.
