My husband and I got called into our 14 year old sons school a few days ago as he was part of a group who were bullying a girl in their class via Snapchat. This has been going on for 2 months and has only recently come to light as her parents got involved and are considering pressing charges.
We of course reiterated everything he already knows about bullying, confiscated all electronic devices and he is grounded for the foreseeable future. What worries me is he doesn’t seem to show much emotion towards this poor girl. He Has gone behind our back to use his phone(we hid it in our bedroom) his younger brother who is 11 was being bullied verbally and physically for a few months. He saw first hand what it does to a family and that he would go ahead and behave that way makes me so ashamed.
Sorry for the long post I hope there are some more experienced mothers out there who can offer a bit of advice it would be greatly appreciated
