Driving and smoking weed

My 17 year old smokes weed every day. Have tried until I am blue in the face to get him to stop. He won't. All his Friends seem the same. Now they are passing their tests and going out in cars. My son hasn't yet but will be being driven by those who have. They are all really silly, immature lads. I am absolutely terrified. No idea even what I am asking. My son refuses to see anything bad about weed in any shape or form, so can imagine him happily climbing into a car with a stoned driver.

He really needs to be careful driving as the police can pull you over for the slightest thing eg light out and test u on the spot for weed same as alcohol test I believe and poof there goes his license its such an obvious smell. Hugs to you and a hope everything works out OK

Just chatted with him, it's hopeless. Said he will be driving, it's no problem, I'm clueless etc.

I know the feeling!
My brother got 10 points on his licence last year from being caught under the influence of weed 'drug driving' in his car that was Stationary, only reason he didn't loose his licence was because of Covid the court reasoned he needed a licence for work.
Very very lucky but he should of lost it to learn the lesson. Now his insurance is sky high and he can't get insured on a work van, he regrets it now but it took that for him to regret it.

This is one of the few situations where I would definitely "report them"...
There are lives at risk here - driver, passengers, other road users.
Please contact your local Police for advice.

I would have no qualms about reporting them.
