Sixth Form Dulwich or Highgate

For a big boy from Europe, why would Highgate be better than Dulwich College - or vice versa?

What sort of boy is he, and what features do the parents want in a school?

Also, which will be easier for the school journey?

School journey doesn't matter for Highgate, and at Dulwich he'd be boarding.
He's more into science and chess than books or sports.
Parents want him to have good chances at US or UK colleges.

Highgate is near to open spaces such as Hampstead Heath, walking distance to the tube, in a lovely villagey place. Dulwich has less to offer. I view boarding as like an open prison so day school would always be my choice.

My very academic ds is in upper sixth of fabulous boarding school so I’m in favour.
I wouldn’t consider Dulwich, too pressured and the attitude towards local girls school is appalling ime.

Dear all, thank you for your input.
Very unexpectedly, our ds just got a boarding offer from Westminster (which we no longer believed in, 6 days after results day).
So he'll take that and write heartfelt thank-you notes to all other offers.
Unless there is decisive advice against that here.
