Gaming teens

My son is 13 and has always loved gaming. He can happily sit on there for hours and hours without feeling bored.

Now he doesn't want to do much else, he has a poor attitude to learning, doesn't want to play football anymore (moans when he has to go)

How do you manage time on computers? We haven't set any limits at weekend so if weather is bad we just let him crack on but I do not think it's doing him any favours!

Socially he has become quite introverted as well as family gatherings he will sneak off to be alone.

Thanks

We didn't impose limits, however, the only way they were allowed to have tech was to have a good attitude to learning, all their homework done to a good standard, do their chores without complaint and help when asked.

Only then did they have access to the computer.

My sons had a set time period after school in which homework was to be done every day so they got used to doing school work at that time.
