Hi , I have a 15.5 year old and she was telling me this morning that some of her friends that aren’t lesbian are snogging each other & this seems to be very common at her school
Is this pretty much thd norm these days

I would suggest she is trying to tell you something. How did you respond?

Swimminginmud · 15/11/2021 15:23

It’s very common in my dds school, usually when they are out drinking 😩

Hi Olaymodels , I don’t think that she is gay as she’s always mentioning boys that she likes .
I really didn’t know what to say , she started by saying that her friend had her first kiss but also snogged two girls at a party & said that a lot of girls in her year have done it at parties .

I really didn’t know what to say ,

So, what did you say?

Frostytiger87 · 15/11/2021 15:55

I just said ok , have you ever kissed a girl & her response was no way mum so I left it at that

Meh me and my friends all used to snog after a good night out. All part of working out who you are, isn't it?!

beatrice14 · 15/11/2021 18:23

perhaps she's bi?

Frostytiger87 · 15/11/2021 20:39

I don’t think she’s bi , I think it sounds normal this days

OP posts:
Bettybantz · 15/11/2021 20:42

So she means girls kissing girls that aren’t gay?

claymodels · 15/11/2021 20:52

I just said ok , have you ever kissed a girl & her response was no way mum so I left it at that

You missed a good opportunity for discussion

Theteapot · 15/11/2021 20:55

Does it matter if they're snogging each other?

myheartskippedabeat · 15/11/2021 21:01

@Theteapot

Does it matter if they're snogging each other?
Does it matter??

Well with Covid on the up I wouldn't be encouraging swapping saliva would you???

Rollergirl11 · 15/11/2021 21:09

I just asked DD who is the same age and she said it happens at parties (or motives as they call them) a lot.
