DS is 13. He has chosen most of his Christmas presents (mostly clothes and sports stuff) but has £100 left over. He wants us to spend it on something he can enjoy/play with on christmas day. Does anyone have any ideas?

He has a PS4 which he does enjoy but he isn't super into tech or anything. He enjoys football and loves rugby. He loves spending time with his friends. He has no other real passions. Not really into lego or reading. Any ideas welcome!

Monopoly! The original is a classic, or there are loads of themed versions.

Origami/air drying clay/other craft set

Is he musical at all? My dd2 got a guitar last year and has loved teaching herself. She wants a harp next Grin. If not a new instrument, then music for an instrument he already plays.

Puzzles/escape room type game.

Basketball hoop
Table tennis
Board games (my 13 year old is having the Logo Game)
Scalextric is still great fun for the whole family

What about something like a bop it or a board game you can play together?

Or a basketball and net??

I was wondering about kapla blocks for my 12 year old, he likes building with jenga blocks.

I have a 13 DS too. Apart from Lego he’s also quite into board games like chess and monopoly. He wants a game called Pandemic 😂 and another one called Secret Hitler which looks brilliant. He was into WarHammer for a bit too but that fizzled out. Worth looking into though.

That huge plastic ball that has a 3D obstacle course inside for a ball bearing to run.

Ooh, the 3D printer pen!

Double version of the shut the box game. Went down very well one year

@boredwithfoodprob pandemic is brilliant! We played the legacy games before Covid with friends and when this all started we were all WhatsApping with references to the characters in the game we'd played. Any co-op board game is a good shout as you can teach new players as you go because you're all on the same side, and if he really likes it he can play alone and play as a few different characters. I can't wait until DS gets old enough for things like that!

A stunt kite - we got a HQ Symphony Pro (about £50) and it’s awesome…..
