Tips on getting a driving test cancellation

Dd recently failed her driving test (examiner was a nightmare) and wants to rebook but not at the same test centre in case she gets him again.
There’s nothing at our most local one and I’ve heard you can just book any test centre (available slots at the place she doesn’t want) then you can pay for an app to search for cancellations at your preferred place?
Is this correct and can anyone recommend where she should use?

DD used this app to get a cancellation. You put in what test centre you'd like the test to be at, and select all the dates that work for you, and then the app autobooks it. It does cost money once you've downloaded it, I can't remember exactly how much but it was worth it since she couldn't get a test for love nor money on the website. Best of luck to your dd

My DD's driving instructor advised picking a test anywhere in the country, then changing the location. Saves going through the application each time, and seemed to help with tests coming up quicker where we lived, He said, once you're in the system its easier to change location than starting from scratch. I think he was right, we managed to change to our home town quite quickly.

didn't use a company though - just looked ourselves. Our driving instructor also had inside knowledge that they were hiring in our home town for more examiners and when extra test dates would be released. It's a nightmare though with the backlog. My DD passed her test 18 months after her first driving lesson. 6 lessons. Lockdown. 6 more. Lockdown. forgotten everything- start again...It's cost a fortune.

Those cancellation apps are causing delays as they block buy tests and resell making it harder for learners to book. According to my DD’s instructor.
