Is this vaping?

Every time I walk into my ds bedroom it smells of strawberry. He sometimes smells of strawberry. He always has the window wide open. I immediately thought of vaping.

He's asthmatic so he'd be bloody stupid to do it. I've asked him about it in the past but he's denied it. How/what do I do? What is the best way to tackle this? Why are teenagers so flipping hard work? It's one problem after another.

DS has started, I’m furious. We had suspicions but I caught him red handed one day as I smelt it when I was walking past so burst in on him.

It does sound like vaping to me but I'm not sure how you'd deal with it. Sorry, I know that's probably no help.

Thanks so much for the advice and the links. I am finding these teenage years a little challenging to say the least.

This does sound a lot like vaping! 😬
I recommend talking to him, saying that you know he vapes and that he shouldn’t deny it and that you’re willing to buy him a herbal vape (a vape with no nicotine - easy to buy on Amazon) if he will stop vaping

This is what I did with my daughter after she told me she had tried her friend’s vape and then wanted one for herself

Even if herbal vaping is bad for him (which it isn’t) it is a lot better for him than vaping with nicotine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mine dabbled with that aged 14 but he grew out of it. Hope this helps
