Driving theory test revision tips

Ds just sat his theory test and failed by one mark on the first section.
Before he does it again can anyone recommend where to get the best revision guides? I think ds thought he’d ace this as he’s a bit clever and I suspect he didn’t revise properly.
Thank you.

My DD swore by the app (theory 4 in 1). It does cost money, but she found it much easier to revise from than the books you can buy, and it includes hazard perception test practice too

After DD1 failed the theory first time, DH sat her down over a period of around 10 evenings and went through every single one of the 900+ questions in the book and made sure she understood what the answer was and why.
Not as bad as it sounds as 80-90% were obvious so they only needed to really go through the non obvious ones (especially things like towing caravans, hill starts etc).

Buy the app - the official DVSA theory test kit and just do the practice questions over and over - they’re all ones exactly the same as is on the test itself. It’s so easy to use and it’s always to hand as it’s on your phone. The hazard perception clips are brilliant too.
