Phones never out of their hand, except when you want to contact them?

Just a small rant... my kids seem to spend their whole lives staring at their phones. But when I try to contact them on it or check where they are using Life 360, they don't answer it, or don't have it with them.

Today the three of them have gone off on a train to a weekend activity. I only realised once they were already at the station that not one of them has taken a phone with them so I have no idea where they are or when to expect them back. FFS.

I hope they are back by now did they give any reasons why they had no phones with them?

@daisybell28
Yes they are back, all is fine. I just worry when I don't have a way of contacting/tracing them, or them contacting me in case of a problem. I was probably less worried today as they were all together at least. There was no reason for leaving the phones behind, just being scatty and leaving in a bit of a hurry.

I do realise that not that many years ago no teenagers had phones and "we all survived" but in this day and age I am used to having the peace of mind of them having a phone and get antsy if they are out without one.
