School trousers

Hi all. I hope someone can help. My SS is 13 years old and 6' tall. We're really struggling to buy school trousers now. He has a really slim waste and we've always needed the buttons on the inside. The ones we have just bought from m&s, age 17/18, are only just long enough. Does anyone have any recommendations?

We are now on River Island trousers for 6ft2in ds, but they are an eye watering £25 a pair, but with the choice of waist and length they do fit much better and he only has 2 pairs.

Thank you so such, I'll have a look. I've resigned myself to paying a lot me from now on!

Look on eBay for barely used ones?

Thank you, good idea, lljkk

My eldest DS was v talk and slim at that age too.

We bought David Luke senior boys trousers. They go by waist size and leg length up to 36 inches.

Next extra long are the only ones that fit DS in the leg, still a bit big on the waist though.

Mens trousers. From somewhere like M&S or one of the supermarkets.

Mine is 15 and 6'3, but the M&S extra long school trousers are long enough as they are 34" from the 14-15 size. I get the super skinny so they don't flap round his legs

John Lewis do the waist adjusters in every size (not sure whether in every model). My ds is 6'2", very slender, but with a disproportionately big bum. He currently needs 30" for waist but 34" for bum. Only JL trousers accommodate him! But they are rarely in stock, so I don't worry about whether the extra long trousers are too long - I just buy them and turn the bottoms up if necessary. TBH some years he has grown so fast that I ended up taking them down again, so buying longer length than he needed was a good thing.

They're also affordable (

We bought Primark black suit type trousers from the men's department which came in different waist/leg lengths.

I'm so grateful for all the responses. It's looking far more doable x
