My 12 year old son has not had any contact with his father for the past 8 years, he was abusive towards me when we were together, we split, he moved away and we never saw him again. Now he is trying to make contact with my 12 year old by adding him on facebook. This is causing me a great deal of anxiety, I feel sick at the thought of it. This was a traumatic time in my life when I was just 19/20/21 and the thought of this is just heartbreaking for me. My biggest fear is my son turning out to be like him, I want them to be as far away from eachother as possible. Do I have any right to say no? Should I just let them get on with it?
