Teenagers and Periods

It's soooooo long ago since I went through this that I can't remember.

DD started he periods a year ago at 12 and half. They were coming about every 23/24 days and she got a bit of pmt, spots etc. All normal.

Anyway, this summer they have been all over the pace - 43 days then 17 days. She's also put on weight and looks a bit bloated - despite eating healthily and doing loads of exercise - she runs most days and plays lots of team sports. She's def not over-eating,

She's small - only 5 foot 1 ish and I'm wondering of there may be a growth spurt coming - although I thought girls didn't really grow much after they started their periods.

Anyway - any advice would be greatly received as she's struggling with what is going on inside and outside of her body.

Hi, I empathise with the worry over this issue. My daughter started her periods 2.5 years ago now and they are still irregular, any thing from 30 to 62 days.
My concern is if she has Pcos... I am monitoring the situation. Good luck, hopefully your daughters will regulate as she is still in the first 2 years of her period and I think they give them 2 years to regulate?
