DD14 - Heavy Periods

Just had a tearful heart to heart with my lovely DD14 she has been having heavy periods over the last few months - she has hidden it from me as she was embarrassed and had enough pads etc... She has just broken my heart and said she is dreading school.... 😢

Oh poor girl. So glad she opened up to you, mine have always been heavy and painful and my M is the last person I could have told or would notice.

Does she have any period pants? If she's heavy, she can use towels as well so that she's less likely to leak.

If they are heavy and painful though, she should talk to the GP who can prescribe tranexamic acid.

I'm over 45 and just started to get very heavy periods. Period pants are the best thing ever.
Highly recommend Modibody pants. I wasn't convinced before trying them. They are a game changer, no leaks at all, no need for tampons or pads, yet they feel fresh and comfortable.
Pricey but worth it!

Oh and they are not at all like nappies, they are just pants, come in loads of styles too for young and older ladies alike.

Period pants from modi body get the 50ml ones. Or a menstrual cup of go on pill
