In my old day , I just use sanitary pads in PE days as I am not a sporty person. But my daughter is a sporty girl and she is expecting her first period in later this year. What sanitary products ( tampons or pads) you guys would recommend to use in sport day? Which tampons brand is suit teenager better? I don't want to scare her. Thanks in advance!

Tampax pearl are great. The applicator means they’re so easy to insert and because they’re plastic and not cardboard they are a lot easier to use and more likely to be put in the correct position.
Or really any brand applicator tampon with a plastic applicator, doesn’t have to be tampax.

I’ve just remembered there is a brand that does sanitary products for teenagers. Lil lets maybe? No idea if they are any easier for teenagers to use or if it’s a marketing thing though

Period pants. 100%

What about reusable period pants? Wish they were around when I was a teen and doing lots of sports. Wouldn’t be without mine now.

Period pants. My sporty dd uses them. Hers are from Cheeky Wipes.

Li let's teenage range is probably more suitable for a younger teen or even those girls who start puberty early only starting periods as they are quite small and dainty.

I deffo agree with tampax pearl, the plastic applicator is great - I have a really heavy flow and find it impossible to use a cardboard applicator as there's just too much blood. Tesco now sell a brand that has reusable tampon applicators that I was really interested in but a bit wary!

Another vote for period pants. My DD finds them comfortable and reliable and likes the zero waste aspect.

Tampons can be good for sporty girls, but my DD has had real problems using them, as did I at her age, so it might not be realistic to assume that a girl who is in the early stages of having periods will be able to use them.
