Pocket money & summer holidays

13 year old

Please can you tell me the list of jobs they do any how much the going rate is.

What do you add on in the summer holidays? They're trying to bleed me dry as 'they're bored' and 'everything costs a fortune'

Need to find a balance of making them
work for it and giving some more spends for things to do.

Thanks

No help here really as we never equated picket money to chores.

Family chores were just expected as part of normal family life, though we did reserve the right to withdraw pocket money for poor behaviour/attitude or not doing anything.

We averaged pocket money across the year with an expectation to save some of it towards spending money in school holidays. Dh and I both set a realistic budget together though that we would be happy to add if she had bigger spends for special days out, etc in the holidays, especially once she started doing more with friends than with me.

At 13y we moved to giving Dd a monthly allowance rather than pocket money.
