Anyone finding this transition to them being independent and separate really hard?
Last one head off to uni in September and i am dreading it .
Someone tell me it gets better.....please!

Well, I love it.
My youngest went last September.

This last couple of weeks they have all been back home and all of them have invited their partners and it has just been wonderful to see these 6 young adults - 3 that I brought up - making me feel really proud and aware we've not done a bad job at all as parents.

Yes, it is odd when it is just two of you at home, but there are advantages to that too Smile

Gosh, mine are at home and I miss them. They are teens, locked in their rooms on phones. I really miss the days when they found everything fun.

Yes! Family days out and lovely holidays. Story times and paddling pools in the garden etc

I really could do it all again in a heartbeat.

Agree with you. It was tiring but fun, now it’s just tiring.

Time for you. Plan exercise and travel, all the things you’ve wanted to do.
