Sleep and adhd meds

Has any of your children been put on elvanse or any other type of ADHD medicine and not been able to sleep?. My son was put on it a couple of weeks ago and has never really had a huge problem with his sleep but ever since , he’s been really struggling to get to sleep.

Yes, both kids had sleep issues. One adjusted naturally, the other has a prescription for melatonin.
We found that we needed to give the ADHD meds by about 7:30am and that a ton of exercise was needed daily to help with the sleep (and the H part of ADHD).

Which meds were they both on ??

Both on a Ritalin/Stimulant- Medikinet
Sleep issues are a common side effect, but with the melatonin at night, they sleep better.
