Activities for DS in isolation?

Hi!

My DSS is 13 and now us to isolate, due to a boy having COVID in his tutor group at school. He is isolating with me and my DH and our DS for this whole time. DH and DS will be out all day, at work and nursery so he only has me at home. He has autism so struggles with change a lot and although very smart, is easily bored. I want to make a spreadsheet (he loves graphs etc so I know he will like this) of all sorts of activities he might like! His interests vary most things, however he particularly loves science, maths, history, geography and sport. Sorry for the ramble, I just really want him to have a good isolation as he is missing his last bit of term! I will happily do activities with him, but I also have to factor in cooking meals, nursery run, food shop etc. Thank you!

Do you think he'd like mudlarking? I know he can't actually go but if he's not familiar with it and enjoys history, it's likely he'd love it.

If you're not sure what it is, it's the hobby of searching riverbanks and streams for old things left behind for years...typical finds in the Thames and also in streams and river banks in older parts of towns and villages include Victorian pottery shards, clay pipes...some of which are very decorative, buttons, thimbles, parts of jewelry, china ornaments, and even Roman things.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube...the best include SiFinds and Tideline Art (Nicola White Mudlark)

What he might enjoy is to plan out some local areas where he could go once the isolation is up. He could look up old maps of your area and work out where town dumps were....as well as learning more via YouTube videos.

Get him to do some research on the competitor countries for the Olympics and predict their medal placings. Sticking with the Olympics theme but geography

Draw up his own exercise plan for in the garden (assuming you have one).

There a also newish series with Prof Brian Cox on iplayer.

Have him help you with cooking.

Decorate his room? Paint a world map on the wall and decorate it with pics of famous places from every country?
