DS is 16. Last year, his behaviour was awful, he had an attitude, refused to do things and was hanging around with people who aren't very good influences. This was like it for a couple of months but he stopped in November once he started messaging his ex girlfriend again.

Last month, he started doing that again and his girlfriend had enough of him and broke up with him. He then started drinking with his mates and getting very drunk.

Last night, I saw he had cuts on his arms. I didn't say anything to him at the time as he seemed like his old self talking to DP.

I will speak to him later but I just don't know what to say to him Sad. I'm just so worried

I have experienced this with a child. I think it only happened once and I was assured it was experimental and wouldn't happen again. I insisted they went to gp, alone, to discuss and also to show how serious it is. I think the gp helped.

My son (who was 14 at the time) used to self harm too, if I were you I'd try to have a conversation to him about how dangerous self harm is and what he is doing to himself. It's best for him to stop as soon as possible before it becomes an addiction!
