Toxic grandmother

I don’t know what to do… I’m 48 (soon) and it’s only been the past few years that I’ve had to recognise that my mother is so very toxic and my childhood was soul destroying, I’m learning to recover but my 17 year old daughter is stuck right in the middle:(

No advice but have you seen the stately homes thread, may help

I had a similar revelation a few years ago about my toxic mother. I have gone very low contact with her and use the grey rock method to deal with her.

Moving myself away energetically and emotionally was the only way to deal with her. Is that possible for you and your DD?
