How would you manage a teen with asd wiping their spit on you or your clothes or bedding? (At Mainstream school).
It is attention seeking/reaction, but ignoring doesnt work. Repeating in firm voice not to do it doesnt work. Taking away something eg phone, internet, tv or make up doesnt work. NVR doesnt work. Rewarding good behaviour also does not work.
Just about had enough of her purposely wiping drool on me. (Among other behaviours which are driving me nuts but I need to tackle one thing at a time).
