My 14 year old DD is about to leave guides ☹️. There isn't a rangers unit locally
What else could she do?

Young leader at a brownie pack?

Sea scouts?

Explorers, definitely. Lots of girls in our troop.

Air Cadets? My daughter joined after Guides and she absolutely loves it. So many opportunities to do different things.

Thanks all some great ideas x

IF she wants to stay in Guiding, being a Young Leader is great. She can work with any of the younger units. My DD does Brownies and loves it. She also does Rangers. The units do tend to be more centralised as fewer girls join, but if you can get her to one, they are great fun too.

My DS loves Explorerers. They are about 50/50 boys and girls here and are a really great group.

I'd second Air Cadets. My daughter loves it and it is incredibly good value for money as it is heavily subsidised by the RAF - think weekend activity trips for around £20! So many interesting, fun and useful things to do. She has done archery, air rifle and other activities just in the last 4 weeks and we haven't paid a penny more than her £10 monthly sub.

Army Cadets? It is quite outdoorsy if she likes that kind of thing.

Another vote for Explorers. 14 - 18 yr old Scouts.

Someone mentioned DofE - you can do that through Scouts or Air / Sea / Army Cadets too.
