So my dds have got back from school today and one for them has had some money go missing from her room. No one else would have been in the house and it obviously wasn't me that took it! I really don't know what to do! I have obviously asked my other dd and she said she hasn't taken it. I have tried saying just put it back and that will be the end of it and also you are grounded but how can I punish her when I don't know for sure she did!
Any help or advice would be gratefully received!!

You can't force a confession... but you can make sure it doesn't happen again. Get a little combination safe (Argos/ Robert Dyers or similar do them for £30... and get your DD to put her money/valuables in there.

I'd probably keep my own purse in there too.

We had an invisible thief (DS1..who swore til he was blue that it wasn't him; he was a really difficult teenager) and got a little safe for his sisters to use. He did grow up and out of it , but meantime he knew we could not trust him and the safe meant he couldn't help himself!
