Scared of growing up

This is more about me really. Single parent with dd 15 and ds 13. We are so close just the 3 of us and dd is like my best friend she has a few friends but she is not your typical teenager she is a home bird. I am just so sad all the time that they are growing up so quickly. I am so anxious about the horrible world out there. Dd has low confidence due to being over 6ft tall. I just feel so protective of them. I guess everyone feels like this don't they ? I way they were babies again the time has gone so quickly.

It sounds like your dd and ds have a very wonderful mum, it's so hard watching your children grow as you're constantly stuck between wishing they'd be small forever and being so proud of all they're achieving as they age.
You're doing an amazing job, its scary that we cant protect them from the world outside as they get old enough to venture out there one step at a time but you'll always be there to guide them, all you've taught them from the moment they were born is going to help them make decisions in the big wide world. Dont be sad, you should be so proud of yourself trust in your teaching Xxx

As for your daughter, she has nothing to be conscious about, 6ft and fabulous! Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. There are girls out there all over the world wishing they were taller (me included). I hope your daughter grows to love her height. Xxxx
