They make themselves sandwiches / wraps / toasties, omelettes, pancakes, beans or eggs on toast, quick pesto pasta etc. If I've made soup they'll have that, or heat up leftovers.

Wraps or pizza. Or quick pasta.

Mumdiva99 · 02/02/2021 07:21

Cold pasta,
Portion of leftover from previous dinner - e.g. curry today.
Quesadilla - two wraps with cheese and some sort of tomato sauce in it (salsa or pasta sauce), dry fry to toast in a fry pan, flip and do the other side. Serve with soured cream to dip.
Toasted sandwiches, panini.
Son is making eggy bread tomorrow.
Soup.
Eggs

I've started to write a list of options when I do the shopping- then we plan them each day. It's making lunchtime a little smoother... I have 3 of them to feed.

DS is loving BLT or Pasta with Pesto and leftover chicken right now. DD is on tomato soup with a round of cheese on toast Smile

Dd14 takes a veggie, hummas and ham wrap, a piece of fruit, and a mini chocolate bar.

Ds16 eats whatever the schools serving that fits in with his diet plan. I suspect he eats a lot of soup, salad and pasta. He also goes through LOTS of protein bars and shakes.

Did loves eggy bread or pesto pasta

Toasties
Jacket potatoes
Pitta pizzas (put tomato puree, oregano, cheese on pitta bread and grill)
Pesto pasta
Leftovers heated in microwave
Noodle soup with corned beef/ham/smoked sausage
Fried rice if any leftover rice from dinner

NCTDN · 03/02/2021 22:31

At the risk of sounding naive, how do you make eggy bread? I don't think I've ever mastered it Blush
DS makes his own lunch as I'm out at work. He has the most odd combinations of whatever he can find. If he can't find anything, it's always a pizza or a toastie.

peasinmysoup · 03/02/2021 23:18

Mine make themselves a mixture of the following

Eggy bread
Grilled hallumi wraps
Fried eggs and bacon
Pasta with sauce
Heat up the left overs from last nights dinner
Cheese toasties
Sandwiches
Chicken drumsticks
Fishfinger/ chicken nuggets
Pizza

peasinmysoup · 03/02/2021 23:20

Eggy bread is just bread soaked in beaten eggs and fried

French toast is more like bread soaked in pancake batter and fried.

Squeejit · 03/02/2021 23:22

Fish fingers by the thousand

collywobble · 03/02/2021 23:29

Soup and a load of bread
Fresh pasta filled stuff with stir in sauce
Cereal by the mountain
Wraps with chicken and Parmesan cheese
Cold pasta salad pots
Tinned ravioli
Those hideous plastic rustler burgers
Cooked chicken legs
Boiled eggs

Basically anything quick and easy so they can get back to gaming as soon as possible but they are active teenage boys

My daughter on the other hand has more advanced tastes Aka blooming expensive !
Smoked salmon bagels
Tuna pasta
Salami and rice cakes
Cheese toastie
Scrambled eggs
Sushi
Salmon and avocado rice cakes

JustDanceAddict · 05/02/2021 19:35

Various sandwiches
Egg - scrambled etc
Fish fingers w potato waffles
Cheese toastie/on toast
Filled pasta and pesto

Better than what he gets at school!!!

He can cook all this basic stuff but isn’t keen on using the grill or oven and will ask me if I’m around.
