Vaping

I’ve just found my DD’s bum bag in her room and it’s got a Juule vape cartridge in it. I had to google it as I wasn’t sure what it was. It turns out that this particular brand has high levels of nicotine in it. I’m so worried and disappointed. She’s just turned 16. How do I deal with this?

Have you managed to talk to her about it yet?

How did it go?

@JiltedJohnsJulie - just saw your reply. Thanks for asking. I did talk to her and she claimed it belonged to her friend who asked her to keep it overnight. She admitted having a couple of puffs but was adamant it wasn’t hers. We talked about the dangers of vaping etc and she promised she wouldn’t do it again. However just today I’ve found a Juul USB charger so I don’t know if I trust her story! I’m going to talk to her again tonight.

I believe every brand has flavours, you then add the nicotine separately and can buy various strengths.
Either way I agree it’s not great, however my 17 yr old ds vapes. He argues that it’s better than cigarettes, alcohol, weed or drugs. I argue it still not good and it giving him addictive habits!
However on the other hand he’s also said that at least he’s telling me and does tend to tell me everything he gets up to...... it’s such a hard juggling act!

@Namechangedforthisoct2 - thanks for replying. I didn’t know you added the nicotine separately. I guess most teens experiment with something and I accept your son’s argument that it’s better than drugs etc.
