ds(15) has just told me he has an invite to a paint balling party. He is really pleased and excited as he has always wanted to do this.
trouble is it the day my brother visits. db and sil haven't seen kids for yonks.
but I said of cause he could go.
db is abit of a moaner and will moan. sil is going shoping so won't care.
they will still have dd to see.

No, you did right. You have to live with your ds, you don't have to live with your db!

fleacircus · 11/10/2007 15:31

Not at all wrong. DS will have fun - and 15 is old enough to choose your own social priorities, surely (within reason obviously!).

EmilyDavidson · 11/10/2007 15:36

You've definitely made the right choice ,my ds(14) went to a paintballing party last weekend and he had the time of his life. Invitations like that dont come up all the time

curseofthemummylin · 11/10/2007 15:39

good on you 2shoes,he will love it.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 11/10/2007 15:41

god, if you made him miss something as fab as paintballing for something as boring as seeing family.... he may never forgive you!

you've done the right thing - db can always see a picture - and he'll get as much sense out of a picture as your average 15 year old boy

unknownrebelbang · 11/10/2007 15:50

You're not wrong.

mumeeee · 11/10/2007 20:02
