My 15yr old son is in a long distance relationship with his 16yr old gf. She lives 4 1/2 hours away from us. Before now me or my husband have always taken him . But hubby now works nights so hard to fit it in. He wants to go see her alone by plane or train . He has never traveled anywhere alone or with mates. His a stay at home guy normally. My question is would u let him go alone. Train is 2 trains 4 tubes and walking in the middle . Flight is train to airport then flight then train to get to nearest station then bus ? We have said no at min as he really has done no travelling not even locally alone

Could you go with him (on public transport) the first time? Then he could learn how to go about it and have the confidence to travel alone in the future.
