Meeting up with friends

Dd, 15, has been very isolated though lockdown and I have been worried about her as she has not wanted to make plans with her friends. However, today she is spending the afternoon with her best friend at her house (I am pretty sure they wont be socially distancing) and tomorrow they are meeting with their other 2 friends for lunch. I really want her to socialise as I have been worried around her wellbeing. But I also worry about the social distancing part, especially as my mum has been shielding. Dd is not a massive socialite but over the summer break I would like her to spend more time with her best friends. I think she needs this contact for her own well being. Just wondered how other parents of teens have approached this and if anyone had any thoughts or advice ?

I have 2dd's 15 and 13. I've actively encouraged them to see their friends and haven't expected them to socially distance. They have mostly been outside and I'm more worried about their mental well-being then Covid.
Hope your dd has a nice time.

My DD age 12 has been meeting up with friends over the past few days. She knows about social distancing, I'm sure they don't stick to it 100% but I trust her to be reasonably sensible.

My DD has met a few of her friends, one at a time then this week has been with a few of them- I think they already suffered enough like everyone else really but especially for teenagers it must be much harder so I think her mental wellbeing is also very important- my DD is already an anxious person she was so worried that she might get it and pass onto us so haven't met anyone until the very last minute but I encouraged her to make plans! She is happier to have met sone friends
