Trying to work out how much monthly allowance to give my DD ages nearly 16. To cover everything except food and books. Advice please thx x

My 16 currently gets £50 per month, but I will be increasing it in September when she goes to college to £140. The reasons for the big increase are she will have a train and bus ride - I will buy train season ticket she will need to tap with her card for the bus. Lunches school provided lunches she will now have to make or buy lunch. College is a very long day 8.15 to 6pm everyday so need a bit more cash for a coffee etc. Finally needs more clothes as no longer wearing school uniform and needs to buy dance tights regularly as will be doing 10 hours of various types of dance a week.

Mine get £60 a month. Have to earn if they want more!
