DD is determined to move out. Have discussed money etc but she knows best!
Is this normal for a headstrong DD?

Great darling. You'd better start saving for a deposit now then.

I remember thinking that when I was 16, saved large portions of my part time Woolworths job, didn’t move out until I was 25.

She can legally move out now if she wants. I’d ask her what she’s waiting for? Perhaps she thinks everyone’s magic rent and flat deposit money tree starts blooming on their 18th birthday...

I said that .. actually moved out 4 months after I turned 18, got in a bit of debt because it's tricky with bills and was on low income in retail. I think my salary was 8k for full time then. I did go onto uni some years later but I was determined to move out- rural parents and very controlling. I wish I had better money management skills. I still love spending money now, nothing designer, still don't have any money !

I moved out at 16. It happens. I moved to the outskirts of London and worked three jobs
