random · 19/09/2007 20:20

southeatsastras · 19/09/2007 20:22

you find her mobile phone and she immediately blushes and says
"you didnt read my messages did you?"

Ecmo · 20/09/2007 14:46

just as you are walking out the door she says

"mum arent you going to change those trousers?"

fizzbuzz · 21/09/2007 14:04

When he gives you a disgusted look, when you ask him how to use punctuation in a text....followed by rolling eyes and sighing

MaureenMLove · 21/09/2007 14:09

When you buy a noew mobile phone and she's the only one who knows how to bluetooth.

MaureenMLove · 21/09/2007 14:11

Oh and you start mixing up her brs with your own when you're putting the washing away.

happystory · 21/09/2007 14:17

When she's approaching the car where you're waiting to pick her up and the only indication that she's seen you is the merest twitch of the lips and miniscule movement of the hand...

brimfull · 21/09/2007 14:17

when they won't be seen dead with you

SmartArse · 21/09/2007 14:21

DD1 was sent a BRILLIANT card by my aunty:

TEENAGERS

Sick and tired of being bossed around by your stupid parents?

ACT NOW

Move out, get a job and start paying your own bills while you still know everything.

brimfull · 21/09/2007 14:23

yes have seen that card-really true

wordgirl · 21/09/2007 14:24

They'd rather get soaked walking home from school then be seen in something as uncool as a coat

kiskidee · 21/09/2007 14:25

you get a phone call from school saying that they have to talk to you in person about the pictures on his/her mobile phone

SmartArse · 21/09/2007 14:26

Oh God, yes ... DD1 was drenched when she got back from school yesterday. Her jumper dried out nicely lying in a heap at the bottom of the stairs, of course.

hennipenni · 21/09/2007 14:28

Mo, haven't had the bra mix up yet but have mixed up our knickers before now!. So many of these ring oh so true!

hennipenni · 21/09/2007 14:29

Can second the getting wet! why do they think that the clothes drying fairy and the lunch box removing from school bag fairy will do everything that they can't?

OP posts:
SmartArse · 21/09/2007 14:33

Because said fairies DO do it all for them! Needless to say I picked the jumper up off the floor, dusted it down, smoothed it out and hung it over the radiator to dry.

Actually, it wasn't her school jumper, it was a random hoody thing. The school jumper has gone missing, although apparently "it's in my locker, Mummy, I'll bring it home tomorrow, I promise". I've heard that every day since the beginning of term.

Wisteria · 21/09/2007 14:38

ROFL - this is hysterical.

when, even though you know there are 6 hairbrushes in the house, yours is always missing

when there's the acrid stench of burning hair, before school, after school and before bed or is that just my beloved??

Pimmpom · 21/09/2007 16:16

Don't get mixed up with the bras anymore - dd has overtaken me

happystory · 21/09/2007 16:26

And hairspray, Wisteria! Mind you I was worse at her age! No wonder there's a hole in the ozone layer, it was me and my mates in the 4th form toilets!
