Wasn't sure whether to put in here or on the Coronavirus page so sorry put on both!
DS now finished school. Younger DD has school work to do but what about him? What can he fill his time with whilst trying to stay away from friends? Prepare for a levels? Revise in case he needs to do exams? It's all so vague...

Poor thing has nothing. He had a full summer with the ncs and holiday abroad. All cancelled. No jobs either. Whoever got a job in tesco - I am amazed! No supermarkets here recruit at 16, especially before school leaving again, and the jobs have already gone to the older teens. It's pretty shit. Now things are opening up I am tempted to pay for him to go abroad on a couple of weeks holiday. He hangs out with friends at least now.

DS is going to 6th form for a levels at the same school so they started them on the syllabus for those at the beginning of May. Other than that, lots of gaming. Hopefully seeing friends a bit more, a surfing holiday and I’m going to pay for him to do a life guarding course if it runs later in the summer so that he’ll have the option of a decently paid holiday job through 6 th form and university.

Dd has nothing either. No job, no work to do, nothing. Feel really sorry for her.

Mine got to see mates for 1st time in 3 months. Much happier :).

Not doing any work (only given 'optional' study suggestions he can't be arsed to look at. Does go on walks with us. He needs structure and targets to study & achieve. I have many doubts that distance working will work out, at all.
