My nearly 14 year old wants a 2nd ear piercing. Shall I let her?

Nothing outrageous, just a 2nd lobe piercing. What age would you allow that?

I was 14 when I got nt tongue pierced so I'd be inclined to say yeah

DD was 16. DD2 wants hers done now and she’s 16. Would have discouraged it at 14but no real reason for why.No real difference between 1 or 2 holes.

DD15, like me, is a bit like a collander, and I think her second lobes were dknw age 11,so yeah no problem for me.
The only one I've said no to is having her septum done.

Depends how she cares for them. If she is ok sorting earrings out, not loosing them, keeps the piercing clean and healthy, why not.

DD's school has a strict "only one piercing" rule, so no way she could get away with it, they get uniform strikes if the earring is too big or too flashy.

Yep that's a good age to be responsible for the care of a piercing. Otherwise you may find she does it herself! I did 🥴

14 is fine to have her seconds done

Of course! As long as she only wears one pair of studs at school (and the other piercings are old enough that she can leave them empty) it shouldn’t be an issue.

I had my second ones done when I was 12 (and my third and fourth ones in my 20s)

My dd turned 14 a fortnight ago and for her birthday she got a daith piercing, she already has 2 lobe piercings (first at age 6, second at age 13). That how she chooses to express herself I guess, I'm fine with it , it's her body!

I'd say it's completely fine. A 2nd ear lobe piercing.. nothing different to 1st's.
