At that age dd and friends loved baking, sitting on walls chatting, taking dogs for walks, doing 5000 piece jigsaws ..

Watching tv/films, playing board games, swimming, cinema, baking/cooking. Mine hates shopping though.

LizziesTwin · 20/01/2020 07:26

Both of mine did masses of cooking, one more cakes & sweet things, the other smoothies and pretty salads. They also played instruments & did either ballet or sport so had lots of commitments (ballet twice a week, team sport with matches on both weekend days some weekends due to club & school).

That's the other thing, mine doesn't see friends all that often because they all do a lot of sport.

My DD is 14 nearly 15 but she is young for her age.
With friends they usually meet in town as it’s central and go shopping and wander round a park that’s close to town. Or sometimes at home they watch a film. Very occasionally they will go swimming.
Without friends she enjoys watching TV, watching films, baking and eating what she has baked. Taking the dog for a walk with us or on her own, playing on her phone and iPad.

Bowling

Cinema, swimming, going to see bands, bowling.

Madcats · 21/01/2020 14:07

How about getting her to do some cookery or craft/art? It doesn't have to be too expensive (maybe she had some craft kits or card games as birthday presents that are untouched?).

Or cinema for friends that aren't especially close (so it doesn't matter as much if one might feel a little left out of chat).

My 14 year old hates shopping. With her pals she goes to the cinema, or out to Costa for a hot chocolate and chat. Occasionally down to the town pool for a swim then out for a burger or pizza after. In summer down to the beach. Just hanging and chatting seems to be what they do.

RuffleCrow · 21/01/2020 14:15

Agree just hanging out and chatting is the best thing ever at that age!

okiedokieme · 21/01/2020 14:16

Watch tv and movies whilst eating my food, baking, they all sing so many a sing along around the piano, old school style (actually this was nice)

Going to Nando's , bowling , cinema .
